The Moto Guzzi 250cc compressore (supercharged) is something really special. It has mechanical fuel injection. Because the throttle body sits between the expansion chamber and the head there is no overrun effect that I described in my previous post. The other ingenious feature on the bike is the mechanical fuel pump that can be seen in image 4. You can vary the flow of the pump on the fly which in turn can change the fuel mixture via an increase or decrease in fuel pressure. This bike is owned by a private collector in northern Italy and is regularly ridden. In the 1930’s supercharged Motorcycle’s the fashion. During that era many records were broken. The 250 Guzzi held more than most.
