My Second COVID project
My Second COVID project for 2020. It took a long time and tested me way past my engineering skill level. However the resulting machine is very pleasurable.

Celebrating 100 years of Guzzi at the Cathedral of Moto Guzzi in Australia. We took our Normale and CV4 for display. I demonstrated the Normale for the visitors. Always great to share such a special Moto.
Ride Day. Spoilt for choice. I feel very privileged to have these Bella Moto’s in my life. Forza Guzzi
RIP Holden. A very sad day for Australia. An iconic and quintessentially Australian brand snuffed out. This was my last Holden. A 2004 Cross 8. Supercharged Monster. What a beast it was.

Beach racing at the Burt Munro Festival. My favourite bike wes the Ducati (only Italian entry), however maybe I jinxed him as you can see in the second photo the bike caught fire and was destroyed. Huge crowds turned out to watch.
Vince Burrell and Todd Johnston both entered beautifully prepared Guzzi’s in the Burt Munro Challenge circuit races in the Pre 72 class. Vince won the class and Todd was a strong mid fielder
Burt Munro Challenge Invercargle Street Races. Unfortunately they let the old bangers out first on a wet track. An old Harley dropped oil all around the track. The organisers canceled the meeting after the first race. At least we got to see Vince and the Guzzi in practice.

The world famous Guzzi man Teo Lamers spotted in New Zealand on tour. What a cool dude @teolamers
For the first time in my life I’m entering a bike in a show. I’ve spent the day polishing Carlo and Maria (1957 Falcone & 1947 Costantino sidecar). I think they deserve some recognition. Let’s hope the people agree.
Carlo and Maria (1957 Falcone & 1947 Costantino sidecar) just won best Vintage Bike at our Custom Bike Show. Congratulations to them both. I’m a proud dad.
Work is slowly progressing on my latest RaceCo project. I hoped to have it finished in time for this years Barry Sheene Festival of speed however the blown engine on my Daytona 992 has slowed things down

A nice feature of the RaceCo 1288 is that you can pop a wheelie anytime you feel the need
You don’t see this in Australia. @johnny_centauro ・・・ Una
The old and the new. My 2014 Stelvio sharing the workshop with my 1953 Falcone. Guess which one gets ridden almost daily.
Does in mean your old when you start to take photos of tractors?
I have been planning my own small block adventure bike based on a V7, but thankfully Guzzi have saved me the trouble. Bring it on !

@ocmotorcycle with @get_repost ・・・ The rumors are true! The V85 is a definite go! Expect the bike in early 2018! We are now accepting deposits!

My own little slice of Moto Guzzi heaven.
What’s better than a Moto Guzzi V1000 Convert? Two of them. My mate mark dropped in on his so we could compare notes.
Damn my CX100 is so sexy.

Wait till Andre sees this photo! I have to sit in the pit with him all weekend @troycorser11 Regrann from @interfos - 3 more days to go till racing steals the show! I’m at racing my Guzzi RaceCo 1288 Daytona. I’m excited to be sharing the track with 3 legends from my shed hero wall @troycorser11 @baylisstic21 @chrisvermeulen7
I’m at the International Festival of Speed with the 1288 RaceCo Daytona. Practice today was wet. Qualifying tomorrow looks like it will be wet. The Sydney Motorsport Park is a disgrace as usual. Oil everywhere and the track is rough. Oh well it’s better than working.
I always like to remember this guy. A shame this event is not still called “ Barry Sheene Festival of Speed”. All the racers will call it that forever. @classicbikeracingireland Barry Sheene Bultaco
Mario (RaceCo Daytona 1288) is punching above his weight at Interfos. Running 6th in class and 13th outright. The very tricky wet conditions are suiting the Guzzi power delivery. The next 2 days of racing are predicted to be dry so I expect we will start to slide backwards on the progressive grids. Interfos is Australia’s biggest classic bike event. It’s in its 13th year and was formally known as the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed in honour of the great man who was a fierce competitor in Classic racing in Australia before his untimely departure from our lives . Our pit this weekend is brimming with Italian machinery with lots of Guzzi’s, Ducati’s and Laverda’s. It’s a symphony of twins.

This is Mick Johnston on his 1987 Ducati TTF1. Mick has been at the pointy end of Bears Racing in Australia for 30 years. His bikes are always immaculate and he is always fast. This weekend he is running in Period 6 (1983-1991) 750cc & 1300cc at the International Festival of Speed. @madmick24

And now for a change of pace. Out on my first Vintage bike rally with 170 old bangers. That’s my 1953 Falcone in the background. 120 kms of back country roads today. Just beautiful.

I took my 1921 Moto Guzzi Normale on the VMCC Easter Rally today. It was an absolute delight

Nice Board Racer at the VMCC Rally last week. Road registered.
All These bikes and 100’s more were on the Vintage Rally in my home town of Bathurst. My Moto Guzzi Normale did this 60km ride flawlessly. It is our first real outing since I purchased it in italy in 2016. The J model Harley parked beside it did the 8 days of rally rides with consummate ease. It was a credit to its owner.
Why didn’t anyone tell me the V11 Scura was such a complete motorcycle. Just did my first ever day ride over 250kms of local back roads. Very impressed
Love my CX100. Just added twin plug heads and 36mm pumpers. First big test today. Bloody lovely.
Van is packed. Off to @autoitaliacanberra With MGS01, motoleggera 65 and Normale.

A quintessential Australian scene. Enjoying my Wednesday ride on my favourite Guzzi. 1953 Falcone with some custom mods including Dondolino tank, Grimeca brakes, Ceriani Suspension. It is a delight.
Saturday ride day on my 69 loopy. What a sweet ride

Thursday arvo ride on my 1921 Moto Guzzi Normale. I can’t quite believe it’s almost 100 years old but starts first kick and loves being ridden. What a privilege it is to be part of its story.

@silodrome The great Sonny Angel passed away today at the age of 93. ️ Sonny travelled to England as a young man and ended up spending two years working in the Vincent Motorcycle Factory in Stevenage. He was part of the team that built the final Vincent in the factory before it closed down, and his connections to British motorcycling wouldn’t end there. ️ After traveling back to California and opening Sonny Angel Motorcycles, his own dealership, he would take part in countless road races, drag races, off road races, and he went to the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1955, where he would ride his custom Vincent Rapide to a speed of 144.69 mph. ️ In the late 1960s and early 1970s Sonny saw what was happening to the British, Italian, and American motorcycle industries as the glut of cheap Japanese bikes flooded the market. He recognized the importance of the Honda CB750 and realized he could build a faster and better handling competitor for it using little more than a rolling Norton Atlas chassis and the engine from a Hillman Imp. ️ Though on the face of it it might seem absurd to put a car engine into a production motorcycle, it was actually remarkably clever. The Hillman Imp engine was closely based on a Coventry Climax unit that had enjoyed some racing successes. It was a lightweight, inline-4 that was cast from aluminum alloy and used water-cooling. It had a single overhead cam rather than the more common pushrods, a displacement of 875cc and 51+ hp depending on the state of tune. ️ Sonny built a working prototype with his team, but couldn’t get Norton to show any interest in a production model. The company was struggling with low sales and financial problems, but if they’d put Sonny’s Norton-Coventry Climax into production they might have been able to compete more effectively with the Japanese. ️
What is it about a Guzzi? Can’t imagine a life without them. Forza Guzzi

Still plenty of room for adventure out here.
@camerondonald86 on a 1951 Moto Guzzi Bicilindrica at Broadford. What a bike. What a rider. We all travelled to Broadford to celebrate 95 years of Guzzi. What a weekend.

Finishing touches to a new race motor. Had to take the angle grinder to the engine casing to get the ignition ( total loss) to fit. This is a race version. The previous road version (unbalanced) caused my crank to snap.
One cannot have too many 4 valve’s.
@silodrome The legendary Mary McGee was inducted today into the Motorcycle Hall of Fame. ️ She was one of the very first women to race in both on and off-road motorcycle competition in the USA, and she’s still going strong today. ️
Sunday ride on my 1958 Moto Guzzi Falcone outfit with my daughter Ashlie. I can’t find the words to describe the feeling you get riding this special motorcycle. Old bikes rule!
I try not to play favourites, but. My 1953 Falcone gentleman’s racer. Molto gentile !
